There have been some unexpected challenges for Apple in the production of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus. According to Kuo, the new stacked CIS primary camera has caused production issues, despite Apple’s attempt to increase volume. Approximately 15% of regular models have been impacted.
Additionally, there are two issues with the Pro models: the titanium frame, which is intended to reduce weight, has faced production difficulties due to high processing difficulty and design changes during development. The Pro Max project has also experienced delays in mass production due to being the last to kick off. These issues may affect the availability of these highly-anticipated devices.
Furthermore, there have been additional production issues with the iPhone 15 range’s displays and batteries. According to Kuo, the batteries have been expanding when exposed to heat, which is a concerning issue that the analyst believes has been solved. It is surprising to witness such a vast number of challenges this late in the iPhone’s production cycle, and some may want to wait to ensure they don’t encounter any hardware problems with the initial iPhone 15 models. However, if you plan to purchase an iPhone 15 Pro Max, it seems advisable to act early or face a long waiting period. Moreover, with Pro Max prices expected to rise by up to $200, it only contributes to the dilemma.
