Thanks to the generous support of The New York Community Trust, MUFG Bank, and NYU Tandon School of Engineering, two deserving winners will each receive $50,000 cash prizes.
In addition to the cash awards, winners will gain admission to the esteemed ACRE Incubator, the longest-running and most successful climate-tech program in New York.
This year, we are introducing a new prize track specifically dedicated to climate adaptation and resilience: the Future Resilience Prize.
While much attention and funding have been directed towards climate mitigation efforts, there remains a significant gap in financing for adaptation solutions.
With the Future Resilience Prize, we aim to highlight innovative approaches to climate adaptation and resilience, attract more private investment to this critical area, and make a positive impact on the communities most affected by climate change.
New York City’s progressive government, thriving tech sector, and vast market make it a global leader in startup climatetech innovation. The city serves as an ideal testing ground for developing sustainable solutions to the world’s most urgent climate challenges.

1. Climate Sector-Agnostic: The Future Solutions Prize is open to companies across all climate sectors.
2. Climate Adaptation and Resilience: The Future Resilience Prize focuses specifically on climate adaptation and resilience solutions, with a keen emphasis on their impact on vulnerable communities.
