The aim of GCIP is to promote cleantech innovation and entrepreneurship in emerging markets and developing economies. This helps to tackle climate challenges and support sustainable development.

The Global Cleantech Innovation Programme encourages innovation and entrepreneurship in these markets to address environmental issues. GCIP helps start-ups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with innovative cleantech ideas to build and grow strong business models.

It also enhances entrepreneurship ecosystems and creates partnerships and networks between private and public sectors to ensure its initiatives are sustainable.

The main beneficiaries of GCIP are early-stage start-ups and SMEs working on innovative cleantech solutions in areas like energy efficiency, renewable energy, waste management, water efficiency, green buildings, transportation, and advanced materials and chemicals.

GCIP also supports national government institutions in partner countries, R&D organizations, industry associations, and other stakeholders in developing cleantech innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystems.

Deadline: 14th July 2024.
