This 6-month internship program, hosted at the AGH University of Krakow, UNESCO AGH Chair, provides selected participants with living expenses, accommodation, free tuition, and access to university facilities.

Requirements

To be eligible for the Poland Internship 2024, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s or M.Sc. degree.
  • Meet specific English language or other language requirements if applying from outside the home country.
  • For candidates in Engineering, possess a Bachelor of Eng (B.Eng) or a Master of Engineering (M.Eng) degree.
  • For Archaeology Fellowship applicants, hold a B.A. or M.A. degree, preferably in Archaeology or Conservation.
  • Proficient in reading and writing in English.
  • Not more than 40 years old.

Duration and Benefits

The Poland Fellowship offers the following benefits:

  • Free tuition and access to university facilities.
  • Accommodation at the AGH UST Student Campus in Kraków.
  • Monthly allowance of 2200 PLN.
  • International travel expenses from the beneficiary’s country to and from Poland.
  • Health insurance.
  • One-time special pocket allowance of US$120.

Required Documents

Applicants must submit the following documents:

  • Completed fellowships application form (all 4 pages).
  • Copy of the applicant’s identity photo.
  • Certified copies (in English) of Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree obtained.
  • UNESCO certificate of language knowledge.
  • Two letters of recommendation related to the applicant’s work.

Application Procedure

To apply for the Poland Fellowship, follow these steps:

  • Visit the fellowship webpage and review the eligibility
  • criteria and application procedures.
  • Contact the National Commission for UNESCO of your country for information on the application process at the national level.
  • Prepare your application, including the required supporting documents.
  • Submit your application with all supporting documents to the National Commission for UNESCO of your country.
  • Upon endorsement and nomination by the National Commission, submit your application by email to archaeology.poland@unesco.org (for archaeology applicants) or agh.poland@unesco.org (for engineering applicants).
  • Complete and submit the online information sheet.
