The program, a collaboration between the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and Huawei, aims to provide guidance, training, and financial support to 30 young fellows annually.

These individuals will work on community-driven projects that foster a more inclusive and empowered digital future.

Eligibility

– Open to young individuals aged 18-28
– Demonstrated interest in creating a real impact in their communities through leading digital development projects
– Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a tertiary education institution in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) or demonstrably STEM-related academic program
– Proficiency in English, the main language of the program, to ensure effective participation in training, networking, and events.

Benefits

– Virtual mentorship and leadership training sessions by ITU and Huawei
– Participation in an in-person global training week (location to be confirmed)
– Up to USD $10,000 grant to implement a digital development project of the fellow’s choice. Each of the 30 selected fellows will receive an initial USD $5,000 grant, with the most impactful projects eligible for an additional USD $5,000 grant to scale up.

Complete the application form by the deadline of 23:59 CET on Saturday, March 23, 2024. The form is available in Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, and Spanish.
