Controversial influencer Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan have appeared in a Romanian court following arrest warrants issued by the UK.

The Bucharest Court of Appeal has postponed a decision on the warrants. Andrew Tate, 37, and Tristan, 35, “categorically reject all charges,” according to their representative. The men are currently in custody.
Romanian Police indicated that British authorities issued two arrest warrants for exploiting individuals in the UK. The Tate brothers’ representative described the arrest warrant as a “bewildering revival of decade-old accusations,” expressing their profound disappointment and categorically rejecting the charges.
They are committed to challenging the accusations with determination and resolve, covering the period from 2012 to 2015.
Andrew and Tristan, both dual UK-US nationals, arrived at court in handcuffs and did not address the press. Their lawyer mentioned limited information regarding the warrant and uncertainty about new evidence.
In December, a Romanian court restricted the Tate brothers from leaving Romania after their request to visit their mother in the UK.
The brothers are also under investigation by Romanian authorities for separate allegations of rape, human trafficking, and forming a criminal gang, which they deny.
The accusations involve exploiting women through an adult content business, alleged to operate as a criminal group. Two female Romanian associates were named in the indictment, with seven alleged victims identified.
Andrew Tate, known for his misogynistic views, has consistently claimed a lack of evidence against him, alleging a conspiracy to silence him. He has faced previous social media bans for expressing misogynistic opinions.
