The head of the Red Crescent Society confirmed the deaths, stating that rescue teams found the wreckage and there were no survivors.
First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber is expected to take over presidential duties according to constitutional protocol. Mokhber has been involved in many government projects and initiatives.
