Senator Abba Moro, who represents Benue State South District in the National Assembly and serves as the Senate Minority Leader, has called on the youths of Apa and Agatu Local Government Areas (LGAs) to remain vigilant and be ready to defend their land against external aggressors and Benue killings.
He urged them to collaborate with security agencies and assured them of his support, along with other leaders, to ensure the security of lives and property in the LGAs.

This call follows the persistent attacks on communities in the two Benue state LGAs by armed herdsmen, resulting in numerous deaths, injuries, and property destruction.
During an interaction with the youths in Ugbokpo, the Apa LGA headquarters, Senator Moro emphasized the importance of avoiding the blockage of Federal Highways, encouraging the youths to allow leaders to continue their ongoing efforts through steady interactions with security agencies and other authorities.
He appealed to the youths to stay vigilant and collaborate closely with security agencies, emphasizing their role in defending and protecting their land from external aggression.
Senator Moro also urged stakeholders to refrain from politicizing the attacks and killings in the state and called for unity, irrespective of party affiliation, to address the challenge and put an end to the menace.
He expressed his commitment to ensuring the safety of his constituents and emphasized that he would not rest until they can live without fear of attack.
Various leaders, including Pastor Ojotu Ojema (House of Representatives Member for Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency), Abu Umoru (Member representing Apa State Constituency), Omale Omale (Commissioner for Power and Transport), and Ochayi Alidu (Chairman of Apa LGA, represented by Council Secretary Agida Baba), commended Senator Moro for his efforts in promoting peace in the senatorial district. They pledged their support to him and the people in ending the activities of the attackers.
Vincent Peter, the President of Apa/Agatu Strong Voice, also praised Senator Moro for coming to their rescue during challenging times. He assured that the youths would always listen to him and other leaders, emphasizing that the protests aimed to draw government attention to their plight.
