The ongoing nationwide strike by workers under the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) has delayed the arrival of the remaining Super Eagles players to their camp in Uyo, Akwa Ibom, for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
JAMNET reports that Maduka Okoye, Semi Ajayi, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Calvin Bassey, Frank Onyeka, Alex Iwobi, Ademola Lookman, and Paul Onuachu were expected to join their teammates in camp on Monday.

According to the team’s New Media officer, Promise Efoghe, the players who are already in the country have not been able to travel to Uyo due to the strike, which has disrupted domestic flights on Monday.
The 15 players already in camp trained on Monday morning at the practice pitch of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium. The training session, led by head coach Finidi George, lasted two hours and included fitness, shooting drills, and tactical exercises.
The players are scheduled to have another training session later on Monday night.
