What the Swansea International Excellence Scholarship Covers

The SUIPRES Scholarship will:

Cover the full difference between international and home tuition fees
Reduce your tuition fee to the UK Home rate (currently £4,786 for 2024/25)
Last for the entire duration of your PhD or Professional Doctorate program
Be applied directly to your tuition as a fee discount

Who Can Apply for the Swansea International Excellence Scholarship?

To qualify for the SUIPRES Scholarship, applicants must:

Be international students paying international tuition fees
Be applying to an eligible full-time PhD or Professional Doctorate program at Swansea University
Hold (or expect to achieve) a UK 1st class or 2:1 undergraduate degree, or a Distinction in a UK master’s degree (or international equivalent)
Demonstrate academic and personal excellence in their scholarship application

Who Is Not Eligible?

This scholarship is not available to:

Current PhD or Professional Doctorate students at Swansea (including returnees or transfer students)
Students applying for Master’s-level programs
Applicants who are fully sponsored by a third party

Eligible Courses

Only specific PhD and Professional Doctorate programs are covered under this scheme.
