The 137 Kaduna school children kidnapped who were rescued from terrorists will reunite with their families today, Thursday.
The state government announced on Sunday that these students were rescued in Zamfara State. They were brought back and received by Governor Uba Sani in Kaduna on Monday.

Maj. Gen. Mayirenso Saraso, the General Officer Commanding 1 Div, presented the schoolchildren to the governor and mentioned that six of them were hospitalized at the Army medical facility, Dalet Barracks, Kaduna. Unfortunately, a teacher who was abducted with the students passed away during captivity.
The Secretary to the State Government of Kaduna State, Dr. Abdulkadir Meyere, announced on Wednesday that the students would be formally reunited with their parents today. He mentioned this while hosting the abducted children at the Government House, where they were undergoing psychosocial therapy.
Dr. Meyere stated that they would be handed over to the state government once they were medically fit.
Speaking to the schoolchildren and their parents, the SSG conveyed the governor’s message of gratitude and assured them that the governor would personally bid them farewell upon his return. A parent, Idris Abdullahi, expressed gratitude to the government for rescuing the students, praying for God’s blessings on them.
Dahiru Abdullahi, another parent, commended the state governor, President Bola Tinubu, the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Christopher Musa, and the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, for their efforts in rescuing the students. He prayed that such incidents would not recur in the country.
One of the abducted students, Suleiman Lawal, described their rescue as a divine intervention, expressing gratitude to the government and Governor of Kaduna state. Another student, Aisha Mohammed, thanked God for the governor’s swift action, which enabled them to reunite with their parents.
