The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has announced its intention to undertake a comprehensive review of the guidelines governing the registration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) service providers and contractors.
This initiative is geared towards bolstering the ease of conducting business and improving the efficiency of registration processes. In a statement issued by Mrs. Hadiza Umar, the Head of Corporate Affairs and External Relations at NITDA, the agency underscored the necessity of this thorough review to streamline the delivery of IT services to Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) of the government.

The guidelines, initially released in 2018, delineate the registration procedures for indigenous IT service providers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality IT projects to the federal government.
NITDA emphasized the importance of enhancing efficiency in the registration process to foster indigenous IT service provision and to involve competent vendors in delivering IT services to government entities.
The review aligns with the administration’s objective of achieving collective prosperity through improved efficiency and innovation.
