Abdullahi, an online media publisher, took the musician to court over comments made at a press conference, where Rarara compared President Bola Ahmed Tinubu‘s three months in office favorably to his predecessor Muhammadu Buhari’s eight years, stating that the Buhari administration destroyed Nigeria.

Zangina’s counsel, Abdu Na Laraba, stated, “We have filed a case in the court challenging Dauda Adamu Abdullahi and want him to appear in court either to admit what he said or deny it.”

The defense counsel, Mr. A.I. Ma’aji, objected to Dauda Adamu Abdullahi appearing before the court, arguing that the statement was made in Kano, not Lafia. The magistrate, Miriam Nadabo, adjourned the hearing of the case until February 2, 2024.
