King Charles III has provided further information about the side effects of his cancer treatment, following his diagnosis with an unnamed form of the disease in February.
While the monarch has maintained privacy regarding his health since the diagnosis, he recently shared additional details about his treatment during a visit to the Army Flying Museum in Middle Wallop, Hampshire.

During his visit on May 13, King spoke with a British Army veteran named Aaron Mapplebeck, who mentioned losing his sense of taste during cancer treatment last year.
According to The Daily Mail, King Charles confirmed that he also experienced loss of taste during his treatment, although it is unclear whether the effects were temporary.
This visit marks King Charles’ return to public duties after stepping back following his diagnosis. On April 30, he and Queen Camilla visited London’s University College Hospital Macmillan Cancer Centre, where they interacted with patients, medical staff, and well-wishers.
During the visit, it was announced that King Charles would become the new patron of Cancer Research UK, succeeding the late Queen Elizabeth II.
In a statement released on April 26, Buckingham Palace expressed King Charles’ gratitude to his medical team for their care and expertise.
The Palace also conveyed appreciation for the support received by the royal family amid the various health updates shared this year, including news of Kate Middleton’s cancer diagnosis.
Their Majesties remain thankful for the kindness and well-wishes received from around the world during both joyful and challenging times over the past year.
