In the wake of a recent incident involving extortion by officers from the Nigeria Police Force attached to the Special Tactical Squad in Abuja, where a member of the public was extorted of the sum of N30 million, the Nigeria Police IGP has disclosed that significant progress has been made in apprehending the officers and their accomplices.
Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Muyiwa Adejobi, announced this development in a statement on Friday, revealing that the officers responsible for the unprofessional conduct and the squad members who initially evaded investigations have been arrested and are presently in custody.
