Nigerian singer David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, has announced a donation of N300 million to orphanages across Nigeria through his David Adeleke Foundation (DAF).
Established in 2022, DAF aims to assist the less privileged, and it has successfully raised and disbursed funds to improve the lives of many children.

Davido shared the news on his X handle (formerly Twitter), stating that the donation represents his annual contribution to the nation. He mentioned that details of the fund’s disbursement to beneficiaries would be available on the following day.
“I and my foundation pledge the sum of 300 million Naira to orphanages around Nigeria, as my yearly contribution to the Nation. Details of disbursement tomorrow,” he tweeted.
In 2022, David donated N237 million to orphanages, expressing his desire to use his platform to serve others. The N237 million was part of donations from fellow music superstars to celebrate Davido’s birthday.
The funds were later distributed through his foundation to orphanages across the country. David has made it a tradition to contribute to various orphanages around Nigeria, a practice that started several years ago around his birthday.
