President Bola has approved the appointment of Deputy Comptroller-General (DCG) of Customs, Kemi Nanna Nandap as the new Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), effective March 1, 2024.
This decision comes as the term of the current Comptroller-General, Mrs. Caroline Wura-Ola Adepoju, concludes on February 29, 2024.

Presidential spokesman Ajuri Ngelale announced the appointment on Wednesday, highlighting DCG Nandap’s prior role as the Deputy Comptroller-General in charge of the Migration Directorate within the Service.
The President envisions that the new Comptroller-General will continue and enhance the ongoing reforms within the service.
The focus is establishing a robust mechanism for efficient and dedicated service delivery to Nigerians, ultimately strengthening national security through proactive and effective border security and migration management.
