The British Council in Nigeria has announced a 29% increase in the fee for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) examinations, bringing the cost to N139,000 for the Computer Academic and General Training Modules starting from February 1, 2024.
This marks the second fee increase in five months, with the previous adjustment occurring in September 2023. The Council attributes the price hike to the rising costs associated with delivering the exams in Nigeria.
