– Financial Support: Grants of up to $45,000 USD are available for implementing community-focused initiatives, not limited to specific themes or technologies.
– Program and Project Management Support: Assistance from UNHCR and experts to enhance capacity in program design and implementation.
– Technical Expertise and Coaching: Tailored advice covering various areas, including technology, legal matters, and innovation methodologies.
– Peer Networking: Opportunities for collaboration, learning, and partnership building among supported organizations.
– Additional Support: Addressing specific needs such as organizational development, sustainability planning, training, and media outreach.
– Learning Focus: Support for outcome measurement, impact assessment, and knowledge sharing to facilitate growth and adaptation based on community feedback.
Requirements
– Open to all organizations led by individuals with lived experiences of forced displacement, including refugees, asylum-seekers, internally displaced persons, returnees, and stateless individuals recognized within their communities.
– Applicants should apply as a team, typically within an existing organization, regardless of registration status.
– Priority given to underrepresented groups such as LGBTIQ+ persons, women, people with disabilities, Indigenous populations, and others.
Application Process
– Two-stage selection process:
1. Submit a brief expression of interest by May 31, 2024, outlining the identified challenge and proposed solution.
2. Shortlisted organizations proceed to submit a full application within three weeks, receiving support from the Innovation Service and UNHCR country offices.
