The YALI Regional Leadership Center East Africa is searching for young individuals aged 18 to 35 from Burundi, Central African Republic, Congo, DRC, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, and Uganda.
These individuals should be enthusiastic about leadership, ready to work diligently, and committed to transforming their countries.

The chosen participants will undergo a 4-week residential leadership training program, emphasizing individual and team leadership skills, innovation, creative learning, and communication through interactive and experiential methods.
Program Tracks
Participants will undergo leadership training in three study tracks:
1. Business and Entrepreneurship
2. Civic Leadership
3. Public Management
Eligibility
The competition for the YALI Regional Leadership Center East Africa is merit-based and open to young East African leaders who meet the following criteria:
– Age: 18 to 35 years at the time of application submission.
– Citizenship: Citizens and residents of Burundi, Central African Republic, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda.
– Not U.S. Citizens: Should not be U.S. citizens or permanent residents of the U.S.
– Visa Eligibility: Eligible to receive any necessary visa to Kenya.
– Language Proficiency: Proficient in reading, writing, listening, and speaking English.
Selected Criteria for yali regional leadership center
Selection panels will evaluate applications based on the following criteria:
1. Demonstrated leadership in public service, business and entrepreneurship, or civic engagement.
2. Active engagement in public or community service, volunteerism, or mentorship.
3. Ability to work cooperatively in diverse groups and respect the opinions of others.
4. Strong social and communication skills.
5. Energetic, positive attitude.
6. Demonstrated knowledge, interest, and professional experience in the selected sector/track.
7. Commitment to apply leadership skills and training to benefit the country and/or community after the program.
