This program aims to support the digital transformation of non-tech Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in four states of Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Under this initiative, selected ISOs from Abia, Kano, Lagos, Rivers states, and the FCT will receive capacity-building support to drive the digital transformation of non-tech MSMEs within their respective states or regions of operation.
These states are recognized as innovation hubs with venture studios, incubators, and accelerators that have projects capable of significantly impacting the MSME landscape.
Non-tech MSMEs encounter various challenges, which can be addressed through the digital transformation of their operational processes.
Innovation Support Organisations, including innovation hubs, incubators, accelerators, and companies fostering communities of innovators, play crucial roles in assisting enterprises to navigate these challenges.
They provide support and resources to entrepreneurs, aiding in the development and commercialization of new ideas, products, and services, thus contributing to the innovation ecosystem.
However, to effectively assist MSMEs, ISOs need support in developing services that facilitate digital innovations for the digital transformation of non-tech MSMEs.
Objectives
The objective of this call for applications is to select ISOs from Lagos, Abia, Rivers, and Kano States, as well as the FCT, Abuja, which are innovation hubs, venture studios, incubators, accelerators, etc., with noteworthy projects capable of strengthening their capacities to drive the digital transformation of non-tech MSMEs within their states or regions.
What does the GIZ DTC Nigeria project offer for selected ISOs?
– Customized Capacity-Building Program: Tailored support to enhance the digital transformation support services provided by selected ISOs to MSMEs in their region.
– Financial Support: Provision of financial assistance to each selected ISO to implement their MSME digital project.
