The Junior Professionals Program offers a unique opportunity for qualified, professional women in West Africa to channel their dedication to international relief and development work into a career with Catholic Relief Services (CRS).

Over 12 months, each Junior Professional will hone core skills while collaborating with seasoned staff and contributing to vital programs.

They will benefit from robust mentoring and regional networking opportunities as they prepare for roles of greater responsibility within Catholic Relief Services (CRS).

Eligibility Criteria

  • Available to qualified, professional women in West Africa.
  • Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in a related field (such as Economic Development, Agriculture, Health, Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, or Supply Chain).
  • Master’s degree must have been obtained within 24 months of the program start date (October 2024).
  • Minimum of six months of relevant work experience (e.g., internship, practicum, volunteer, or paid work).
  • Proficiency in speaking and writing skills in the official business language of the country (French or English).
  • Citizenship of a participating country (listed above).
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative multicultural environment.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 25% of the time) and be stationed in field offices outside the capital city during the JPP program year and after program completion.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.
  • Agility, proactiveness, resourcefulness, and results orientation.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation abilities.

Eligible Countries

The Junior Professionals Program is currently open to applicants from Senegal, Liberia, Gambia, Guinea, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Niger, Mali, and Sierra Leone.

Practical Training: Junior Professionals will gain hands-on experience and extensive training in project design, program management, monitoring and evaluation, partnership building, and operations.
