The Startupper of the Year Challenge by TotalEnergies returns to 32 African countries for a special edition commemorating the Company’s 100th anniversary! The goal of this 4th edition is to empower and inspire young African entrepreneurs to innovate and realize their projects in their respective countries.

Are you the owner of a startup less than 3 years old or a pioneer with a business idea to develop? If yes, then this challenge is for you!
Requirements
Entrepreneurs with business creation projects or startups under 3 years old, making a positive impact on their communities and/or the planet, are eligible to participate.
Age requirement: Between 18 and 35 years old (born between May 1, 1988, and April 30, 2006).
Residency: Must be a resident of the country where you apply.
Startup Requirement: Must have either a startup under 3 years old registered in the application country no earlier than April 30, 2020, OR a business idea that could be developed shortly after the challenge.

Categories
Innov’Up: One winner per category in each participating country, with an additional 4 international winners selected by an international jury in the Power’Up category. This category aims to reward the best entrepreneurs, whether they own a startup of less than three years or come with a mature business idea.
Cycl’Up: Aimed at rewarding startups or business ideas exemplifying the principle of circular economy.
Power’Up: Targeted towards rewarding startups or business ideas promoting, creating, producing, or using sustainable and affordable energies.
