The Cole family from Victoria Island, Lagos, said they don’t accept their son Taiwo’s recent marriage to actress and comedian Wofai Fada.
They made this clear in a statement on Sunday after pictures and videos of Taiwo’s traditional wedding in Ugep, Cross River State, showed up online.

Kunle Cole, the head of the family, strongly said they didn’t know about or agree to the marriage. He stated,
“We want everyone to know that we, the Cole family of Victoria Island, Lagos, didn’t know about any marriage involving our son, Taiwo Olakitan Cole. We didn’t give our permission or support.”
The family also cautioned people against thinking they’re connected to this marriage. They said, “Anyone claiming to be part of the Cole family because of this marriage isn’t accepted by us. Ignore any news or papers about it.”
Despite the family’s disapproval, Wofai Fada and Taiwo Cole happily shared their news on social media. Wofai Fada posted on her Instagram page, where she has many followers, saying, “I found my happily ever after, and I said yes!! Love is amazing. Thank you all for the love and messages,” along with pictures.
This event has caused a lot of talk on social media. Some people support the couple, while others side with the Cole family.
Besides acting and comedy, Wofai Fada is also known as a chef.
