The Boma Prize for Africa is more than just a contest – it’s a platform for innovative African entrepreneurs like YOU. We’re seeking passionate go-getters with ideas that can drive transformation in communities and inspire a brighter future.
eligibility criteria
To ensure a fair and comprehensive evaluation process, we’ve established the following eligibility criteria:
- Completion of the Boma Consult Entrepreneurial
- Certification Program (BCECP) and acquisition of a certificate.
- Possession of a small business and a business plan.
- Existence of the business or company for over a year with a demonstrated impact on the community.
- For school teams, membership should consist of 3 – 5 members, all from the same university, with the option for one member from a different university.
- Minimum age requirement of 18 years to participate.
- Individuals or groups of entrepreneurs can apply, with each member being at least 18 years old for groups of 3-5 members.
Eligibility is open to individuals aged at least 18 years, residing in Africa, provided their projects significantly benefit African communities.
We welcome applications from innovators, entrepreneurs, individuals, and changemakers focused on sustainable development, technological innovation, cultural preservation, social entrepreneurship, or educational advancement.
All applicants must adhere strictly to the rules for video entries to qualify for the contest.
NOTE
A key criterion is completion of the Boma Consult Entrepreneurial Certification Program (BEP); only applicants with a BEP certificate will be considered for the Boma Prize for Africa competition.
