The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has launched a digital empowerment program aimed at Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Katsina State, with commendations extended to both the Federal and Katsina state governments for their financial support.
The Director-General of NITDA highlighted that the program was initiated in response to a call to action from the President and the Governor of Katsina State.

In her welcome address, the Director-General of the Katsina State Economic Development Agency (KASEDA), Hajiya Aisha Aminu Malumfashi, underscored the importance of harnessing digital innovation to empower SMEs, which play a crucial role in the development of any economy.
Recognizing MSMEs as key drivers of economic growth, job creation, and poverty reduction, Hajiya Malumfashi emphasized the necessity of providing practical strategies for MSMEs to effectively adopt and leverage digital technologies.
The program, named NITDA Digital Empowerment for MSMEs (NDE4M), revolves around the theme “Leveraging Digital Technology to Enhance MSMEs’ Business.”
It is in line with the Redefined Presidential Priority of economic reform for sustainable inclusive growth and NITDA’s Strategic Roadmap and Action Plan 2.0 pillar aimed at fostering an innovative and entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Throughout the program, participants will delve into various aspects of digital innovation and practical strategies to improve their businesses.
