The Amazon Web Services Equity Equivalent Investment Program (AWS EEIP) is an 18-24-month program designed to empower and accelerate small and medium enterprises (SMEs) owned by Black South Africans who wish to establish their AWS business and thrive as partners in the Amazon Partner Network (APN).

Eligibility Criteria
1. 100% Black Ownership: Your business must be 100% Black-owned according to the ICT Sector B-BBEE Codes of Good Practice, meeting all three B-BBEE ownership criteria – economic interest, voting rights, and net-value points.
2. Valid Level 1 B-BBEE Certificate/Affidavit: You must possess a valid Level 1 B-BBEE Contributor certificate or Affidavit.
3. Exempted Micro-Enterprise or Qualifying Small Enterprise: Your annual turnover must not exceed R50 million.
4. Founders’ Experience: The majority of economic interest and voting rights (at least 51%) must be held by a founder with a minimum of ten years of professional work experience, including leadership and team growth experience (this requirement excludes teams operating their startup full-time for at least 24 months).
5. Core Team in Place: You should have an operations manager and technical lead, and all founders must be prepared to transition to full-time employment within the business from the program start date.
