Anyanacho, a bronze medalist at the 2019 African Games, began her day by defeating W. Zaboure of Burundi in the Quarter-final, ensuring her place in the medal range.

She continued her winning streak in the semi-final by defeating Salih Sofia of Morocco in another intense three-round about.

Entering the final, Elizabeth, who has already qualified for the Paris Olympics this year, carefully analyzed her opponent, Mohammed Aya.

Although she lost the first round, she bounced back strongly, winning the second and third rounds to clinch the gold medal.

With this victory, Team Nigeria Taekwondo secured one gold medal and one bronze in the competition.
