Enekwechi, who holds both the national and African Games records, displayed his dominance in the event, outperforming his competitors, including his fellow Nigerian athlete, Emeka Moses Ugwu.
Despite facing stiff competition, Egyptian athletes Mostafa Amr Hassan and Mohamed Magdi Hamza put up a strong fight to claim the silver and bronze medals respectively.
Hassan recorded a throw of 20.70 meters, securing the silver medal, while Hamza’s throw of 20.29 meters earned him the bronze.
