The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has announced plans to commission what is described as Africa’s largest Water Park in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
This revelation occurred during a courtesy visit by a delegation from Sunrise Estate Developers and the Nadeem Group. The purpose of the visit was to present an official invitation for the commissioning event, scheduled for March.

Minister Wike expressed his appreciation to the developers for choosing to invest in the FCT, emphasizing that the Sunrise Water Park would not only serve the region’s commercial and economic needs but also provide employment opportunities for the youth.
He urged the group to ensure the timely payment of taxes, highlighting the crucial role tax revenue plays in funding developmental projects.
During his address, Wike commended the delegation for their investment in Abuja and assured them of the FCT Administration’s support. He encouraged the investors to fulfill their tax obligations, underlining the significance of taxes in sustaining infrastructure development.
George Tolofari, the head of the delegation and Special Adviser to the Chief Executive Officer of Sunrise Estate Developers, conveyed the purpose of the visit.
He congratulated Minister Wike on his appointment and expressed confidence that, with continued support, Abuja could become a federal capital city to be proud of.
The Water Park, touted as the largest in Africa, is anticipated to play a substantial role in the FCT’s commercial and economic activities while creating employment opportunities. The commissioning event is scheduled for March.
