Nigerian startup founders have been presented with a unique opportunity to participate in an 8-week exchange and networking initiative in North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), Germany.
Organized by the “Economic and Innovation Partnership NRW-Africa” project (WIN NRW.Africa), the program is designed to foster cross-cultural understanding, provide a global perspective, and facilitate valuable networking experiences.

Eligibility Criteria
The program is open to:
– Young professionals who are founders of start-ups
– Representatives from accelerators and incubators
– Individuals interested in embarking on an international exchange journey

Program Benefits for the Economics and Innovation Partnership NRW-Africa
Participants in the program can expect to:
– Access vibrant new markets and establish or extend business connections and collaborations.
– Engage in workshops, technical discussions, and excursions providing insights into economic policy frameworks in NRW.
– Facilitate a mutual exchange of innovative ideas, creating networking opportunities for high-potential entrepreneurs.
– Receive financial support, including a scholarship of €750 per month for the 8-week on-site phase in Germany, additional subsidies towards accommodation costs (up to €750), coverage of travel expenses, assistance in obtaining a visa, and organized on-site stay arrangements.
Program Details
– Application Deadline: January 19, 2024.
– On-site Stay in Germany: March 2024.
Application Procedure for the economic and innovation partnership NRW Africa
Interested applicants are required to:
1. Display their interest in Germany and intercultural curiosity.
2. Describe their start-up/project/institution (maximum 1000 characters) and submit a pitch deck or a brief presentation for multipliers explaining their suitability for the program.
3. Submit a meaningful letter of motivation.
4. Include a CV.
5. Possess fluent English skills.
6. Be based in Nigeria.
7. Demonstrate a high degree of initiative and curiosity.
