Entrepreneurship Training Course
– Equip yourself with indispensable tools to transform your biotech ideas into market-ready start-ups.
– Delivered in collaboration with the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) Innovation and Incubation Hub, the Office of Research, Innovation and Development (ORID), and the Institute of Applied Science and Technology (IAST).
Incubation Programme

Funding Scheme
– Unlock the potential of your research projects with a funding scheme tailored for exceptional ventures.
Eligibility Requirements
– WACCBIP fellows, interns, students, and alumni.
– Young biological scientists and trainees.
– Biomedical scientists and individuals passionate about developing biotech start-ups.

– Comprehensive introduction to the biotech ecosystem in Ghana and Africa.
– Basic to intermediate skills in biotech entrepreneurship and product development.
– Refinement of biotech product ideas for marketability.
Duration
Five (5) days of intensive boot camp and a two (2) month incubation and mentorship program at the University of Ghana.

Assessment
Pitch competition to determine incubation program participants.
Evaluation of applied knowledge and skills in developing ideas.
Certificate
Upon completion of the five-day boot camp, participants will be awarded a prestigious Certificate in the Essentials of Biotech Entrepreneurship jointly awarded by WACCBIP, UGBS Innovation Hub, and IAST.
