A doctoral Graduate Research Assistantship is available in the School of Natural Resources at the University of Missouri, with advisor Dr. Benjamin Knapp. The successful applicant will develop and lead research on oak woodland restoration in north-central Pennsylvania. This project is in collaboration with the Pennsylvania Game Commission, providing an opportunity for close collaboration with Game Commission foresters.
The project will include a large field experiment that evaluates the effectiveness of various restoration treatments, such as prescribed burning, herbicide, mastication, timber harvest, and deer fencing.
