Scholarship Benefits
The MTN Scholarship Scheme provides:
✔ ₦300,000 per year – Covers tuition, books, and living expenses.
✔ Annual renewal – Based on academic performance.
✔ 500+ scholarships awarded each year.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the MTN Scholarship Scheme 2025, applicants must:
✅ Be a Nigerian student in a public university, polytechnic, or college of education.
✅ Be enrolled in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) field OR be a visually impaired student.
✅ Meet the CGPA requirements:
MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (STS) (300-Level Students Only)
📌 Universities & Colleges of Education: Minimum CGPA of 3.0/4 or 3.5/5 (Second Class Upper Credit).
📌 Polytechnics: Minimum CGPA of 3.0 (Upper Credit) from OND & must have secured admission into HND.
📌 Direct Entry Students: Minimum CGPA of 3.0 (Upper Credit) from OND & must have secured admission into 300 Level in a university.
MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (SBS) (200 & 300-Level Students Only)
📌 Universities & Colleges of Education: Minimum CGPA of 2.5.
📌 Polytechnics: Minimum CGPA of 2.0 from OND & must have secured admission into HND.
📌 Law Students (5-Year Program): Only 300-Level students can apply.
📢 MTN will also award scholarships to the top 10 UTME candidates, covering their education from 100-Level to graduation (if they maintain the required grades).
Guidelines for Applications
Step 1: Visit the Official Application Portal
📌 Go to the MTN Foundation Scholarship page.
📌 Click on the “Apply Now” button and fill out the application form.
Step 2: Submit Required Documents
📌 Upload academic transcripts, admission letter, and proof of CGPA.
Selection Process
✔ Applications reviewed based on:
- Academic excellence.
- Financial need.
- Relevance of course to STEM (for STS applicants).
📢 Successful applicants will be notified via email and invited for verification.
🚫 Scholarship is awarded annually and must be renewed based on academic performance.
