Applications are now open for the HAN Undergraduate/Graduate Scholarship in the Netherlands 2025.
The HAN Scholarship is offered in partnership with the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science. It is designed to recognize students with significant achievements in education and personal development. The HAN Scholarship provides grants worth €12,500 to exceptional students from outside the EU/EEA to support their studies in bachelor’s or master’s degree programs.

Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the HAN Scholarship, you must:
- Be a national of a non-EU/EEA country.
- Not hold a degree from any educational institution in the Netherlands.
- Have never been enrolled in a degree program at a Dutch university or university of applied sciences.
- Be accepted into a full-time, English-taught degree program at HAN University of Applied Sciences.
- Meet the language requirements:
- IELTS score of at least 6.5, or
- TOEFL iBT score of at least 90, or
- Cambridge Certificate (CAE or CPE).
Benefits
The scholarship provides a total of €12,500 to successful applicants, distributed as follows:
- €2,500 for the 1st semester.
- €2,500 for the 2nd semester.
- €2,500 per year for the following 3 years of study.
Required Documents
Applicants must submit the following:
- Motivation Letter: Explain why you will be a successful HAN student.
- Short Video (maximum 3 minutes), addressing the following:
- Introduce yourself and highlight your strengths.
- What would your former teachers or friends say about you?
- Discuss your chosen course of study at HAN.
- Describe your role in a team based on your personality or experience and explain why.
- Outline your career ambitions: Where do you see yourself professionally in 10 years?
- Curriculum Vitae (CV).
Application Process
To apply for the the Scholarship:
- Visit the scholarship website using the provided link.
- Apply for a degree program at the University and ensure you are accepted before the relevant deadlines:
- April 1 for Fall Semester.
- October 1 for Spring Semester.
- Prepare and submit all the required application documents.
- Notification of awards will be sent via email on:
- June 1 (Fall Semester).
- November 3 (Spring Semester).
- Accept the scholarship in writing by the deadline stated in the award notification letter.
