Applications are now open for the Fully Funded University College London Bartlett Promise Scholarship
The Bartlett Promise is dedicated to supporting students from underrepresented backgrounds in pursuing studies at The Bartlett, UCL’s Faculty of the Built Environment. This scholarship is available to nationals from a Bartlett-approved list of Sub-Saharan African countries who are enrolled in a Bartlett master’s program.

Benefits
Recipients of The Bartlett Promise Scholarship will receive:
- Full coverage of overseas tuition fees
- An annual stipend of £16,008 for living and study expenses
- A round-trip flight to and from the UK
- Coverage for UK Study Visa, English language assessments, health test fees, and NHS Immigration Health Surcharge
- Ongoing academic and career support
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must:
- Be nationals and residents of an eligible Sub-Saharan African country
- Not hold British citizenship or dual British nationality
- Have a confirmed offer (conditional or unconditional based only on English language requirements) for a Bartlett Master’s program in the 2025-26 academic year
- Demonstrate financial need
Additional Considerations
Priority will be given to applicants who:
- Are forced migrants
- Are the first in their family to attend university at either undergraduate or postgraduate levels
Selection Process
Applications will be assessed based on educational, personal, and financial circumstances. Applicants must provide evidence of these factors in their submissions, which will be reviewed in accordance with the eligibility criteria.
