This initiative helps France cultivate future leaders in both the public and private sectors across important fields of study. The program prioritizes students from emerging countries at the master’s level and includes students from both emerging and developed countries at the doctoral/PhD level.

Eligible Fields of Study

Scholarships are available for the following fields:

Science and Technology

  • Biology and health
  • Ecological transition
  • Mathematics and digital
  • Engineering sciences

Social and Human Sciences

  • History, French language and civilization
  • Law and political science
  • Economics and management

Who Can Apply?

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Open to all international students.
  • Age limit: 25 or younger for master’s applicants, 30 or younger for PhD applicants.
  • Must apply for a master’s or PhD program at a French university.
  • Should not have previously received an Eiffel scholarship for the same academic level.
  • Must demonstrate strong academic performance and leadership potential.
  • Applications are submitted by French universities on behalf of the students, not directly by individuals.

The program is open to students from all countries.

The scholarship will be taken at institutions in France.

Scholarship Benefits

Step 1:

  • Contact the Espace Campus France in your country or the cooperation and cultural service at the French embassy for advice on your study project.
  • Reach out to the International Relations department of a French institution by visiting its website or contacting them via email or phone to learn about specific application requirements and deadlines.
  • Choose the school or university in France that fits your study plan. All French higher education institutions are eligible to submit applications.

Step 2:

  • Ensure that the institution accepts and supports your application for the Eiffel Scholarship.
  • The institution will submit your application online on the Campus France website.
