Applications are now open for the INQUA Fellowship Programme for Developing Countries 2024
The INQUA Fellowship Program provides financial support to early-career scientists (ECRs) and researchers from low- and middle-income countries (DCRs) to gain international research experience in Quaternary studies.

This INQUA fellowship allows recipients to conduct research at a foreign institution for a period of 3 to 6 months.
Benefits
- The fellowship covers a portion of the costs associated with travel (economy class) and living expenses (such as accommodation and subsistence) while abroad, up to a maximum of €15,000.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
Early-Career Scientists (ECRs):

- Graduate students and postgraduates within 8 years of receiving their final degree. This 8-year period does not include time taken off for non-academic work or family responsibilities.
- Scientists who have been working for less than 8 years but hold permanent (tenured) positions may still be considered as early-career researchers.
Developing-Country Researchers (DCRs):

- Researchers working in low-income or lower-middle-income economies (refer to the World Bank list for qualifying countries). However, INQUA considers that the World Bank list may not fully reflect the level of science funding or funding to individual scientists.
Research Location:

- Applicants must be willing to conduct research at a host research institution in a foreign country.
Research Scope:

One-Time Fellowship:

- Applicants can only benefit from the INQUA Fellowship Program once.
