Theย German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), in collaboration with theย University of Hohenheim, offers a limited number of scholarships for theย M.Sc. Agricultural Economicsย program under the specialย Development-Related Postgraduate Courses (EPOS)ย initiative.

Benefits of the Scholarship
Recipients of the DAAD EPOS Scholarship will receive:
- Tuition fee coverageย for the entire 2-year Masterโs program.
- Health insuranceย during the program duration.
- Aย monthly living stipendย to cover daily expenses.
- Travel costsย to and from Germany.
- Additional financial support forย research activitiesย (refer to the EPOS webpage for details).
- An intensiveย German language courseย from August to September at a language center in Germany, before the program begins.
Eligibility Requirements
To apply, candidates must meet both:

- Be aย citizen of a developing countryย (refer to the official list in PDF format).
- Have at leastย 2 years of relevant professional experienceย after completing their Bachelorโs degree and before the application date.
- Hold academic degreesย not older than 6 years.
- Demonstrate strongย development-related motivations.
- Must not have lived in Germany for more thanย 15 monthsย at the time of application.
Theย University of Hohenheim AgEcon program requirements

- Aย Bachelorโs degreeย in a related field with above-average academic results.
- Official proof ofย English proficiency, such as:
- IELTS Academic (minimum band 6.5).
- TOEFL iBT (minimum score of 90).
- Proof of undergraduate coursework inย economics and statistics.
- Completion of theย AgEcon PreTestย (self-evaluation).
Note: University-issued language proficiency certificates are not accepted. Applicants must present official English test results.
Selection Criteria
- Professional and Academic Excellence: Demonstrated through CV, recommendation letters, and academic records.
- Relevance of Experience: Applicants should show experience in public authorities, state institutions, or private companies focusing on development-related policies, including technological, economic, or social projects.
- Motivation: A clear statement of intent regarding how the scholarship will aid personal, academic, and professional goals.
Required Documents
- DAAD Application Formย (signed and dated).
- Employer Recommendation Letter: On official letterhead, detailing your position and the referee’s contact information.
- Employment Certificates: Proof of at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
- English Proficiency Certificate: As per admission requirements.
- Academic Records:
- Bachelorโs degree diploma and transcripts (certified copies and translations if not in English or German).
- Secondary school leaving certificate (certified copies and translations if not in English or German).
- Ranking Letter: If needed, to confirm above-average academic performance.
- APS Certificate: For applicants from India, China, and Vietnam.
- CV: Updated Europass format in reverse chronological order.
- Motivation Letter: Maximum of 2 pages.
- Checklist (PDF): Signed and dated.
- Any additional required documentation listed on the DAAD EPOS webpage.
