The leaders of Kachia local government area in Kaduna State and the Kachia Community Development Association (KCDA) have asked Governor Uba Sani to ignore claims of unfairness against the state’s commissioner of Agriculture and Rural Development, Alhaji Murtala Dabo.
In letters to the governor, the traditional rulers and the community said the accusations against the commissioner were made by people who didn’t want progress.

The commissioner is being accused of showing favoritism in the recent sharing of farming tools by the Kaduna State Government in the Kachia Local Government Area.
The district heads, who wrote to the governor together, are Alhaji (Dr) Sabiu I. Suleiman, Mr Jacob Dogo, Mr Joshua Takar, and Mr. Moses Agwai.
The letter from the KCDA was signed by Alhaji Bala Shittu and Alhaji Aminu Inuwa, chairman and secretary.
KCDA said the recent claims of favoritism and political targeting against the commissioner were just attempts by frustrated people in the state who usually cheated the intended beneficiaries of such help.
“It’s disappointing how matters like giving out farming tools are being made political. The claims of bias in this process are unfounded; the tools were shared transparently and according to set rules, making sure deserving people got them. This can be checked and proven.”
The association also said the idea that Dabo’s actions were driven by political rivalry was weak and insulting. They said Dabo’s loyalty was to the people he serves under the governor.
“It’s clear the writer and their group don’t know how to attack the commissioner’s character because everyone knows what happened during the 2022 primary elections and the 2023 general elections.
“To say the Hon Commissioner worked against the Governor’s candidacy is funny, as the election results showed otherwise.
“We urge the Governor and the public to ignore these baseless, divisive claims. It’s sad to see such division at a time when unity is needed. We should engage in constructive talk and work together for our community and state.
“We welcome an investigation into the matter to clear the Commissioner’s name and show the integrity of the Governor’s administration focused on the state’s development.”
