In an interview on Channels Television on Tuesday, former Minister of Works and Housing, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe, reiterated his belief that President Bola Tinubu remains the most suitable candidate for the presidency, despite the current challenges facing the country.
When reminded of his earlier endorsement of President Tinubu for the top job, Ogunlewe affirmed, “Definitely, he is still the best. President Tinubu is still the best man for the job, Nigerians should be patient.”

He acknowledged that plans often encounter unforeseen obstacles or “X factors” and reassured that, despite the current challenges, the government is working towards resolving the issues.
Ogunlewe urged Nigerians to be patient, stating, “This hunger will last another three months. This government knows how to resolve these problems.”
Expressing concern but not surprise, he added, “He (Bola) is doing his best to calm people down so that there can be solutions…but they need to do more.”
Ogunlewe emphasized the need for food security in the country, stating, “I am very worried but not surprised…We have no cause not to have food in this country.”
