Amorim’s achievements at Sporting, including securing the club’s first Primeira Liga title in 19 years in 2021 and leading them again this season, have earned him widespread recognition.

With various top job opportunities being linked to him, Liverpool stands out as a potential destination, given Klopp’s announced departure.

Palhinha expressed his confidence in Amorim’s ability to handle the pressure of coaching a club like Liverpool, given his experience managing big Portuguese clubs.

“Ruben is a very talented coach, one of the best in Portugal. He has excelled since his time at Braga. He has an excellent understanding of the game and a strong rapport with his players,” Palhinha stated.

He further emphasized that Amorim’s progression suggests that he may not remain in Portugal for much longer, driven by his aspirations and desire for further success.

While Klopp’s impending departure has prompted Liverpool to plan for a new era, Amorim’s potential candidacy adds intrigue to the club’s managerial recruitment process.

Liverpool FC’s football hierarchy changes, with Michael Edwards assuming a larger role and Richard Hughes set to join as sporting director, set the stage for a thorough search for Klopp’s successor.

Amorim’s name has been mentioned among potential candidates, although concerns about his limited experience in top European leagues have been raised. Nonetheless, he remains highly regarded by Liverpool’s decision-makers.

Among the other names reportedly on Liverpool’s shortlist are Xabi Alonso, Julian Nagelsmann, Roberto De Zerbi, and Ange Postecoglou. While Steven Gerrard is respected, his recent managerial struggles make him less likely to be considered.

The search for Klopp’s replacement promises to be meticulous, with Liverpool aiming to ensure a seamless transition and continued success for the club.
