Hosted at Columbia University in partnership with Columbia World Projects and Columbia Global, the program’s curriculum integrates leadership training, personalized support, and networking opportunities, guided by experts across different sectors. Participants will acquire the insights, connections, and tools necessary to expand their work’s impact and reinvest their new knowledge, networks, and skills into their communities.
2025 Obama Foundation Fellowship Details
This fully funded program covers:
- Monthly stipends for living expenses in New York City.
- A furnished studio apartment near Columbia University.
- Tuition and fees for up to four courses at Columbia University.
- Healthcare coverage, including medical, dental, and life insurance.
- Round-trip airfare from the scholar’s home country to New York and for program-related events.
- Leadership development sessions hosted by the Obama Foundation.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the 2025 Obama Foundation Fellowship, applicants should:
- Be emerging leaders who have already made a significant impact in their field and are at a pivotal career stage.
- Show a strong commitment to community service and leadership, with plans to use their new skills and connections to benefit their community over the long term.
- Be fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- Embody values such as inclusivity, community focus, integrity, courage, strategy, and resilience.
