A border patrol team consisting of the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS), Nigerian Immigration Service, Department of State Service, and Nigerian Army, led by Chief Superintendent of Customs A.A. Ibrahim, who is now Assistant Comptroller of Customs attached along Yauri-Jega Road in Kebbi State, has intercepted 40 cartons and sacks containing 6,240 pieces of caps suspected to be sensitive dynamite explosives.
During a briefing with journalists yesterday at his office in Birnin Kebbi, the capital of Kebbi State, the Customs Area Comptroller in the state, Iheanacho Ernest Ojike, disclosed that after a thorough examination conducted by the joint personnel, the suspected items were discovered to comprise 40 cartons and sacks containing a total of 6,240 pieces of cap-sensitive dynamite explosives (Super Power 90).

These were loaded onto a white Canter truck with registration number Zur 882ZY, along with a Haejue motorcycle bearing registration number JEG-562 UQ.
The comptroller further stated that two suspects were apprehended and detained by the Customs Command in Birnin Kebbi, and the seized items were subsequently handed over to officials from the Department of State Services.
