Scholarship Benefits
The Latvia Government Scholarship provides financial assistance based on the level of study:
- Bachelor’s & 2nd Level Professional Higher Education Students (1st–3rd year): €500 per month
- Master’s Students (and 2nd Level Professional Higher Education from 4th year): €600 per month
- PhD Students: €700 per month
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the Latvia Government Scholarships 2025, applicants must meet the following conditions:
- Applicants must choose a study program at a Latvian HEI before applying for the scholarship.
- Applicants must receive a confirmation letter from the selected Latvian HEI before submitting their scholarship application.
- Current students at Latvian HEIs must also obtain confirmation for their ongoing or chosen program.
- Bachelor’s students: Must have successfully completed at least one academic year at a higher education institution.
- Master’s & PhD students: Must have completed previous degrees at an accredited university.
Required Documents for Application
Applicants must prepare and submit the following documents:
- Application Form: Complete the official online application form.
- Two Recommendation Letters: From academic or professional referees.
- CV/Resume: Highlighting educational background, achievements, and research experience.
- Language Proficiency Certificate: Proof of proficiency in English or Latvian.
- Letter of Motivation: A compelling essay explaining academic and career aspirations.
- Study Plan: A structured academic and research plan for the selected program.
Guidelines for Applications
Follow these steps to apply for the Latvia Government Scholarships 2025:
