In alignment with their commitment to open source, Meta is introducing the Llama Impact Grants program. The program aims to identify and support the most impactful uses of Llama 2 for the betterment of society.

Recognizing the complexity of global challenges, the program is structured around three key tracks:

Education
Environment
Open Innovation

Eligibility

Eligibility is open to labs and organizations with ideas for addressing global challenges using Llama 2.

Applicants under the Education track are encouraged to explore how Llama 2 can enhance equitable education outcomes, such as personalized content for students and support for teachers.

For the Environment track, proposals should consider how Llama 2 can contribute to building a healthier and more sustainable world, including mitigation and adaptation strategies.

Meta welcomes innovative proposals that leverage Llama 2 for social good, such as faster information synthesis, coding software applications, medication side effect analysis, and analyzing court records for biases.

Evaluation criteria

Evaluation criteria include technical feasibility, applicability, responsibility, and impact. Finalists will be notified in January 2024.
