Applications are now open for the GSK MSc Scholarships for Future Health Leaders 2025 for individuals interested in the health sector

The GSK Scholarships for Future Health Leaders support training the next generation of leaders in global health and aim to enhance health systems and health research capacity in Africa. Three scholarships are available for the 2025-26 academic year for students pursuing a one-year, full-time MSc program at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM).

Scholarship Benefits

Full coverage of tuition fees, including mandatory field trip fees.
A tax-free stipend of GBP 22,000.00 for living expenses.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify, applicants must:

Be nationals and residents of a sub-Saharan African country.
Plan to return to sub-Saharan Africa after completing the MSc program.
Confirm they cannot fund their studies without the scholarship.
Meet LSHTM’s English language requirements.
Hold a first degree equivalent to a first or upper second class.
Have an offer of admission for a 2025-26 London-based MSc program at LSHTM.

Preference will be given to applicants who show potential to significantly contribute to public health or health-related research in Africa.

Selection and Application Process

Apply for Admission: Submit an application for a London-based MSc program for 2025-26.
Scholarship Application: Upon submission, you’ll receive an email with a link to the online scholarship portal. Search for ‘GSK Scholarships for Future Health Leaders’, complete the questions, and submit.
Ensure that all required documents are submitted through LSHTM’s Admissions Portal by the deadline.

Important Notes

These scholarships do not cover joint programs such as MSc Global Mental Health and other specified courses.
The LSHTM GBP 50.00 application fee must be processed before submitting the study application.
Applicants should complete their study application at least 2-3 days before the scholarship deadline to avoid delays.
Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Scholarship applicants who receive an offer must email the Admissions Team to inform them they are waiting for the scholarship decision to extend their deposit deadline.
