Senator Barau, who also serves as the first deputy speaker of the ECOWAS Parliament, reassured Nigerians that the current administration is committed to improving the country’s fortunes for the benefit of all citizens.
In a statement released by his special adviser on media and publicity, Ismail Mudashir, Senator Barau urged Muslims to pray for Allah’s grace for the nation’s peace, unity, security, and economic prosperity. He also called on all Nigerians, regardless of their differences, to pray for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as he strives to positively transform the country.
“I wish Muslims and all Nigerians a memorable Eid-el-Kabir. This season reminds us to place our faith in Allah’s compassion and wisdom and to be obedient to His commands, as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim. True Muslims should uphold peace, tolerance, justice, and charity.
“In the spirit of this season, let us all, irrespective of our faith, recommit ourselves to building a strong, united, and economically vibrant country,” he said.
Senator Barau also reaffirmed the National Assembly’s dedication to creating necessary legislation to address the country’s challenges in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
“In parliament, we will continue to develop laws to tackle the issues facing our country. We are working with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to enact several laws for good governance. We need everyone’s support in this effort; let’s work together,” he said.
