Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for this prestigious opportunity, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Be citizens and residents of one of the eligible countries.
- Have a strong academic background.
- Demonstrate proficiency in English for courses taught in English.
- Show a clear motivation for pursuing the program.
- Be in good health.
- Be under 30 years old (preferable).
Selection Process
The selection process is divided into two distinct phases:
Phase 1: Pre-Screening by FAO
- Candidates must submit a complete application dossier.
- FAO reviews and forwards qualified applications to Hungary’s Ministry of Agriculture.
- The Ministry then sends the applications to the participating universities chosen by the candidates.
Phase 2: University Selection
- Applicants may undergo written or oral English examinations.
- Universities conduct further evaluations and make the final selection.
- The Ministry of Agriculture notifies successful candidates.

Application Requirements
To apply, candidates must submit the following documents:
- Completed application form.
