Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) offers scholarships designed to provide financial support to both international students and Turkish Republic citizens enrolling in Master’s and PhD programs.

Scholarship Benefits
Tuition Coverage: Scholarships offer either 100% or 50% tuition coverage, depending on the program and the applicant’s eligibility.
Research Assistantship:

- Students awarded a 100% scholarship are appointed as ‘Category E Research Assistants’ and are required to work at least 6 hours per week in academic or administrative units at the university.
- Students with a 50% scholarship are not automatically assigned as Category E Research Assistants but have the option to work as part-time research assistants. They can choose between the assistantship role or retaining the scholarship.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
First-Time Enrollment: Students must be enrolling in their respective programs for the first time. Those who have previously terminated their registration or were dismissed and are re-applying are not eligible.
Application Period: Applications are accepted twice a year during the online program application periods for the Fall and Spring semesters.
Academic Requirements:

- To be eligible for either 100% or 50% tuition coverage, students must have:
- A minimum CGPA of 3.00 (out of 4.00) or equivalent from an undergraduate program.
- Alternatively, Turkish citizens with a CGPA between 2.75 – 2.99 (out of 4.00) or equivalent must also have a relevant ALES score of 65 or higher.
- For those applying based on a previous Master’s degree, a minimum CGPA of 3.50 (out of 4.00) or equivalent is required.

- Degree Certificates for completed programs
- Proof of English Proficiency
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Statement of Purpose outlining academic and career goals
